Compare yourself not to others, but only to the vision you hold within your heart. Dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself and watch you get beyond yourself. The very thing that someone told you that you would never be able to do may just be the very thing you are destined to do. [Dr John DeMartini]
Let us rejoice in the goodness of God who has made our world so full of beauty.
One thing have I asked of Love,
that I shall ever seek:
that I might dwell in the Heart of Love
all the days of my life,
to behold the Beauty of my Beloved …
‘May the beauty you love, be what you do.’ Rumi
Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God’s handwriting – a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God, for it as a cup of blessing.
May you God of beauty,
bless us and keep us;
may your goodness shine on us and be gracious to us;
may your love hold us and give us peace.
World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly
The new World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly will be celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday in July as it is close to the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus. Pope Francis' speaks this message for the first ever World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, which will be celebrated on Sunday, July 25, 2021:
“The Holy Spirit stirs up thoughts and words of wisdom in the elderly.” The voice of the elderly “is precious,” because it sings the praises of God and preserves the roots of the peoples. The elderly remind us that old age is a gift and that grandparents are the link between the different generation, to pass on to the young the experience of life.”
Dear God, please bless my grandparents and for the life, they share with me.
For the ways they help me and encourage me to be strong, I give thanks.
For the ways, they love me no matter what, I rejoice. Amen
A big thanks for supporting the Vinnies Winter Appeal last term. Our Faith and Culture Leaders magnificent in organising our school sausage sizzle, and cooking and serving it on the day. We have raised $747-23. That is terrific. God bless you for your compassion and generosity!
Creative, Collaborative, Connected Learners - Inspired by Love
It is our understanding that for the most part, things have worked well in the first few days of this lock down. We remind parents to keep in touch with their child’s teacher if you are experiencing difficulties with technology or need clarification with work set. We also repeat the information that went out to parents re children accessing websites that can infect computers with viruses and malware.
“For those of you whose children are using school laptops as part of their home learning, it is imperative that your child does not try to access unknown sites.
We have had notification of a laptop trying to access websites which contains 'Phish' malware, please inform your child to not visit games or unknown websites.
Additionally, they are not to attempt to install internet downloaded programs which are attempting to infect a computer. This will have grave implications for our school’s system once they return from lockdown.
We thank you in advance for your support in this matter.”
Please keep yourself updated in relation to administrative procedures during this lockdown period through our in-school messaging apps – SZapp and SeeSaw. We will continue to update information as it comes to hand.
We remind parents that they only need to complete the signed 'Lockdown - Attendance/Absence' form on Szapp for the whole of the lockdown period ONCE. We wish to make the process as easy and stress free as possible for our families and only require the one form to be completed and submitted if the student intended to participate in home learning for the duration of the lock down. Another form will only need to be submitted if they are unable to study from home such as
attending a medical appointment for that day or particular period of time (which they can stipulate), or
any other reasons you would normally inform us about.
Thank you all for your understanding and williness to communicate with us. It is greatly appreciated.
